BeA Fastening Systems one of the UK’s largest suppliers and manufacturers of fasteners and hand held powered tools, won an impressive three-year contract from an enquiry made at last years W6, at Birmingham NEC 8-11 October 2006. Master Furniture Makers MULTIYORK, one of the UK’s leading quality upholsterers expressed interest in the BeA Fastening Systems range of staplers and nailers for their bespoke and distinctive manufacturing processes.

MULTIYORK, who have a retail arm consisting of 60 stores throughout the UK is a highly reputable sofa retailer, who pride their selves on offering much more than a standard sofa retailer. They have an enviable reputation in the market for quality and focus, predominantly on removable cover upholstery in an expansive model range covering many different styles. Their offer allows customers to tailor their sofas to their specific needs in terms of model sizes, seat and back comfort options, as well as a choice of over 10,000 different fabrics.

After they expressed their initial interest, BeA Fastening Systems visited MULTIYORK and audited their tool and fastener requirements, and analysed their manufacturing processes.

After further discussions, during which both companies discussed and decided what they needed, BeA Fastening Systems then offered a commercial supply proposition to replace their existing staplers and nailers. A commercial agreement between BeA Fastening Systems and MULTIYORK was reached.

BeA Fastening Systems then supplied a range of tools for tool trials at MULTIYORK. One member of the MULTIYORK team was so impressed with the tools they didn’t want to let them go!

Mark Duff, Production Director of MULTIYORK commented “Competitive prices for consumables coupled with reliable no-nonsense tools made the decision an easy one and the transition to our new supplier painless.”

BeA Fastening Systems won a three contract due to a combination of cost, alternative methods/consignment stock and more importantly high quality.
