Pronorm, the rigid German kitchen furniture brand, has noticed a strong trend within the premium sector towards kitchens with banks of units which gives a very strong structural feel within the kitchen. Ideal for creating this architectural look is its cleverly designed Proline 128 range which offers extensive design scope to create sophisticated and seamless runs of wall and base units with total flexibility of heights and widths.

Says Jason Grinton, Business Manager for UK & Ireland:
“We are seeing very strong demand for our Proline 128 range currently as it gives designers the flexibility to design with clean, structural lines while observing the ergonomic need for functional storage and varied heights that suit each individual user.”

Proline 128 excels in ergonomics because the working heights for preparation, cooking, washing up and eating can be designed to the bespoke needs of the user. This eliminates any strain on the back while optimising functionality and user-friendliness.

Proline 128 is named after 128mm being the significant measurement. The concept centres on all the kitchen door and drawer products being based on a height of 128mm or multiples of it. With the benefit of a larger standard base unit and narrower plinth, Proline 128 offers an extra 10% storage space compared to the average kitchen unit. It also offers a cleaner visual aesthetic, as the gap between doors and drawers has been reduced down to a neat 4mm.

The Proline 128 concept is available in over 60 Pronorm door designs.
