 | | SUPER SLIM TROJAN TAKES SLIDING DOOR TECHNOLOGY TO NEW LEVELS | | | D R Services | | 03/08/2007 | | | Flexibility is an overused word in the lexicon of architectural ironmongery but the latest Trojan 120 sliding door system from D R Services achieves a level of distinction by combining strength and style with the ability to carry very high leaf weights, even in situations where the building structure is expected to suffer substantial movement.
Specifiers will be attracted to the super slim, 34 mm wide by 40 mm deep profile track for its ability to achieve unobtrusive installations. The track can be fitted above or below the ceiling, direct onto a wall or – in combination with a separate 50 mm wide section - supported off fixed glass goalposts to either side. D R Services also provides a selection of attachments so that the door leaf, weighing up to 120 kg, can be made of glass, timber, metal or MDF. There are also extended bolts available to mount the track through a double boarded, fire rated ceiling.
The combination of polypropylene wheels on an aluminium track – also available in a stainless steel finish – makes the system virtually friction free with no need for lubrication, while the standard attachment bolts can carry either flat or curved door leafs; the minimum radius being a very tight 500 mm.
D R Services can supply the system in a form which enables timber, glass or other doors to fit right up to the ceiling level. Thanks to the very versatile performance of the system, Trojan 120 can be used for virtually any application from cellular glass offices to shower enclosures and can even be installed external to a building. | |
