 | | NEW USER-FRIENDLY TAP COLLECTION COMMENDED FOR TOP DESIGN AND INNOVATION | | | Ideal Standard | | 20/07/2007 | | | Ideal Standard, a leading provider of innovative, design-driven bathroom and kitchen solutions has launched Active, a new collection of taps for the bathroom, shower or kitchen. Designed by award-winning design house ArteFact, Active blends sophisticated design with ground-breaking technology. Credentials which have earned it two awards, the IF product design award for 2007 and the Design Plus Award, received at ISH in March 2007.
Retailers and installers will welcome the collection’s soft design, which uses geometrical forms, combining both round and rectangular shapes making it easier to blend into the latest trends in bathroom ceramics. Such a wide selection of contemporary shapes means that consumers have an extensive choice of affordable taps to suit their specific needs. Its elegant yet functional design ensures that it is both easy to install and easy to operate.
12 models use innovative technology
Active offers a choice of twelve models for use throughout the house. A basin and bidet mixer, basin and bath pillar taps, thermostatic bath mixer, built-in and exposed thermostatic shower mixers plus a one-hole rim-mounted bath and shower mixer. Active also offers two kitchen tap models – a monoblock kitchen mixer with either a choice of either a traditional outlet or a high, slender outlet.
Active’s key thermostatic mixer - designed for extra safety and comfort - has dual controls, one to regulate the temperature and one to control the water flow. The thermostatic mixer ensures the right temperature is achieved right away whilst the water pressure is kept consistent. Ideal Standard’s award winning M-Tech® technology ensures that the body of the tap is always cool and safe to touch. With children in mind, this thermostat technology provides protection against scalding by hot water or burning when touching the tap.
The Active collection of taps benefit from the latest Ideal Standard “click” system technology, which is a water saving device integrated into the tap fitting and uses innovative cartridges to help control the flow and consumption of water.
Active taps can also be installed and fitted easily thanks to the Top Fix system, making them user-friendly. Plumbers and installers are able to fix the fitting from the top rather than having to go under the ceramic unit to secure it, as with traditional fitting systems, saving time and money on installation.
Commenting on this latest range of taps, Brian Grey, Ideal Standard’s Marketing Manager, says, “With such a wide choice of affordable options for the bathroom, shower or kitchen, Active has something for every individual need; not only does it excel on the design and technology front, but its smooth surface and soft lines make it easy to keep clean.” | |
