UNIQUE AIR-SEALER MOVES WITH THE TIMES

Hilti has launched the CF812 Air-sealer, a unique elastic foam which allows +/-12.5 percent joint movement that ensures the product retains an air-tight and water-resistant seal which helps to save energy and improve building performance.

The product outperforms traditional methods as, once cured, standard foams become rigid and have poor elasticity which can result in de-bonding or tearing when subject to movement. Expansion at injection can also lead to a pressure build which can distort the joint, a common problem CF812 avoids by exerting very low installation pressure.

Designed for top-of-wall joints, wall-to-beam, beam-to-roof, wall-to-roof and around door and window frames, the product is quick and simple to use and reduces of the requirement for working at heights due to an optional extra long dispenser.

CF812 uses low hydrocarbon propellant to reduce environmental impact and is acoustically tested to Class B2 under DIN4102.
