The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists awarded seven members its highest honour at its President's Annual Dinner in Newcastle on November 18.

The Gold Award is CIAT's method of recognising a member's outstanding service to Architectural Technology through the profession or Institute, and is an essential method of recognising individuals who may not normally be recognised. This year the Gold Award went to:

Vincent Clifford MCIAT for dedicated service to the North West Region.
Robert Davey MCIAT for dedicated service to the West Midlands Region.
Philip George MCIAT for dedicated service to the Northern Region.
Gerard O'Neill MCIAT for dedicated service to the Republic of Ireland Centre.
Jeremy Salter MCIAT for dedicated service to the East Anglia Region.
Gordon Smith MCIAT for dedicated service to the Central Region.
Marjorie Smith MCIAT for dedicated service to the Central Region.
The award winners receive a medal, lapel badge and certificate.
