 | | A-PLANT LUX MAKES EXHIBITION DEBUT AT TTRAFFEX 2007 |  | | A-Plant | | 20/06/2007 | | | A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management, now the UK's largest provider of Traffic Systems on a rental basis, is making its exhibition debut on stand number B80 at Traffex 2007 at Birmingham's NEC on 17th-19th April. The company will be launching its brand new brochure and will deliver a series of presentations focused on new product development, Health and Safety and an overview of the A-Plant Lux product and service offering.
A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management was formed in October 2006 after multi award-winning company A-Plant acquired Lux Traffic Controls Limited for £15.5 million. Over 40 Lux locations have been amalgamated into the A-Plant network and when added to A-Plant's existing dedicated Traffic depots, form a combined operation comprising over 50 dedicated Traffic locations nationwide, which provide a range of Traffic Control and Management products and services. A-Plant's depot network now comprises over 230 locations across the UK, with a workforce in excess of 2,500 employees, At Traffex 2007, A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management will be exhibiting a range of the company's products available for hire, including the very latest Portable Traffic Signals, Variable Message Signs, its Edge Protection System and Road Plates. The company also provides Chapter 8 Signing, Lighting and Guarding, Specialist Traffic Control Equipment, Event Signage, Traffic Control Training and Confined Space Safety Equipment.
The company's Traffic Control and Management service extends from safe installation of the appropriate Traffic Control System to advanced site surveys, liaison with local authorities, site maintenance and de-installation of the chosen Traffic Control System. A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management provides a 24-hour call-out service, 365 days a year, and has both Sector Scheme 12 certification and ISO 9001:2000 approval.
A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management has a dedicated Training Centre and delivers a range of training courses, including Signing, Lighting and Guarding (Unit 02 and Unit 10), Sector Scheme 12d, Portable Traffic Signal Training and High Speed Traffic Management Training and Assessment (Sector Scheme 12a/12b/12d SS), as well as safety and first aid courses. At Traffex 2007, a series of presentations will be delivered by technical experts on the A-Plant Lux stand, focused on areas such as new product development of road plates, Health and Safety and legislation affecting the traffic sector.
Traffex 2007 marks the official launch of the new A-Plant Lux brochure, which for the first time features the full product range offered by the company and the firm's full depot network. A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management is headed by Managing Director Paul Dennis, formerly Senior Operational Director for A-Plant's Plant & Tools Division.
A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management forms part of A-Plant's Specialist Products Division which also comprises five other dedicated businesses, namely Accommodation, Acrow Falsework and Formwork, Powered Access, Rail and Power Generation and Welding. A-Plant's Plant and Tools business comprises over 120 locations offering a vast range of plant and tools to hire - from large plant such as dumpers, excavators and forklifts to powered air tools, lifting equipment and heaters. A-Plant was recently announced Plant Hirer of the Year at the Contract Journal Construction Industry Awards 2006, the largest and most prestigious in the industry.
