Tarmac has invested in a range of packaging and haulage solutions that enable self-builders and renovators to order building products in more manageable sizes, that can be delivered to their site at timely intervals. This in turn helps to reduce the need for on-site storage, whilst freeing up valuable space.
Heatsave Plus
Heatsave Plus is Tarmac's new thermally efficient flooring solution that removes the need for additional insulation between floors. For self-builders familiar with 'beam and block' flooring systems, Heatsave Plus draws on the same principles, but includes an inventive twist. The concrete blocks between the pre-stressed concrete beams are replaced with expanded polystyrene panels (EPS), which have outstanding insulation properties.
Heatsave Plus exceeds the Government's Part L Building Regulations by achieving U-values as low as 0.18W/M2K. It enables heating systems to be turned down, saving on fuel costs and reducing carbon emissions. At 2.5kg per panel, Heatsave Plus is also easy and simple to install.
Fastfloor
Fastfloor beam and block flooring is the ideal system for use in suspended ground and upper floors. Backed with our technical support and professional fixing service, Fastfloor is quick and simple to install in any weather conditions and immediately provides a safe working platform for further construction work on upper floors.
Draught-proof, rot-proof and fire resistant, the Fastfloor system has additional benefits, including removing the need to backfill, eliminating clay heave and shrinkage problems and also has effective thermal insulation properties.
Hollowcore Concrete Flooring
Our composite solid plank flooring system offers the structural versatility of an in-situ slab with all the advantages of a pre-cast floor.
The panels are able to span great distances, without requiring propping, so Hollowcore increases the size of the basic structural grid. Concrete is the most sustainable building product available, and its high thermal mass properties enable it to stabilise internal temperatures during winter and summer months, therefore reducing energy bills throughout the year. The durability of concrete also means that the flooring will be maintenance-free, and at the end of its long life, will be 100 per cent recyclable.
Screeds
Tarmac traditional screeds are high strength flooring materials designed to provide a flat surface to irregular, sloping or uneven sub-bases. To meet economy and speed, a comprehensive range of general purpose and specialist ready-to-use floor screeds are available, designed to provide a complete solution.
The factory produced screeds are completely ready to use and guarantee quality and consistency. They require no mixing on site, no plant hire costs and offer superior working properties, guaranteed performance, and compliance with all relevant British Standards and codes of practice.
Mortar
Tarmac provides a range of factory produced lime mortars, including coloured mortars, which can make an enormous difference to a building for a very small additional cost. With over 100 shades or mortar available, Tarmac can ensure the best match, allowing the architect and builder unrestricted creativity when it comes to making a building unique. With factory produced mortar, however many batches you need, you will always get exactly the same colour and quality.
Ready Mix Concrete
Tarmac's minimix business delivers concrete from quality assured plants across the UK, supplying the DIY user with a fast and efficient small load service at competitive prices.
Our minimix truck mixers have the capacity to carry between 0.5m3 to 3m3. The mixers are small and easy to manoeuvre, allowing better site access and much reduced risk of damage. Plasters
Tarmac offers a comprehensive range of pre-mixed, high performance plaster products suitable for a wide variety of applications. Our Limelite plasters are lightweight, cement/lime-based plasters that have been specifically developed to control dampness passing through walls and can be applied shortly after insertion of a new damp-proof course or system.
The range also includes one-coat plasters and finishing plasters that provide a hard surface with superior impact-resistance and durability.
High Performance Renders
Tarmac high performance renders and cementitious-based single coat renders provide a superb solution for covering brickwork, blocks and other background to create distinctive architectural features.
Our renders have a low water demand, improving workability and adhesion and are suitable for hand or mechanical application. Available in a wide range of colours, a variety of textures can be achieved to blend with the surroundings, including spray finish, towelled spray, scraped or stone.
Masterdrive
