 | | NEW WEBSITE FOR SLIPSIL SEALING PLUGS | | | Beele Engineering | | 22/05/2006 | | | Beele Engineering has introduced a new website for the SLIPSIL sealing plug, with the domain name
SLIPSIL sealing plugs - which are CE-certified - are used to provide fire safe and gas and watertight seals for transits carrying single or multiple plastic or metal pipes. Typical areas of application of the SLIPSIL plug are shipbuilding, the construction industry, manufacturing industry, the oil refining and (petro)chemicals industry, and the utilities industry.
The website gives an overview of the advantages and possible applications of the SLIPSIL plugs. It also provides detailed information about the installation of these sealing plugs, and visitors can download the installation instructions.
SLIPSIL sealing plugs are extremely easy to install, and they can be exposed to high pressures immediately after installation. The shape of the plug enables a broad sealing range to be covered with a single plug type.
The material used to manufacture the SLIPSIL sealing plug is the superior rubber grade NOFIRNO. This rubber compound is not consumed by fire, does not shrink, and it forms a protective layer after exposure to flames. NOFIRNO rubber compound exhibits excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions. The material is UV and ozone proof, and under normal conditions it will remain unaltered for a period of at least 20 years. This prevents maintenance costs due to ageing.
SLIPSIL plugs are suitable for application in a broad temperature range. Even at temperatures as low as -50°C the rubber retains its flexibility, so that optimized sealing performance is assured at the very low operating temperatures of, for example, Freon tubes. The plugs can also be used in environments with temperatures up to +180°C, for example steam applications. | |
