LINDAB OFFERS FREE AIRTIGHTNESS TESTING TO DW 144

Underlining its promise that competently installed LindabSafe pre-sealed air ducting will provide the highest possible standards of airtightness, Lindab is offering free independent testing of installed ductwork to DW 144.

Because all LindabSafe joints are factory assembled with high performance joint seals they can achieve Class D, the highest classification for airtightness, without the need for site-applied sealant or duct tape. Class D is three times better than Duct Work Standard DW 144 Class C and 27 times better than the DW 144 minimum standard Class A.

The offer applies to projects where LindabSafe has been properly specified, installed by a Lindab Recommended Contractor, and each duct joint certified by the installer with a LindabSafe Class D sticker. If these three basic conditions have been met Lindab will pay for an independent testing company to conduct a 10% site test to DW 144 to prove that it performs three times better than Class C. In the unlikely event that an installation fails to match up to this promise Lindab will pay for any remedial work until it passes the test.

Because all Lindabsafe components are factory fitted with twin-fin high-performance EPDM rubber seals they can be quickly and simply push-fit installed without the need

for any further taping or sealing. This can save at least 40% of the installation time and cut the overall system cost by 10 - 20% compared to a traditional taped and sealed system. What's more, when it's competently installed it will be airtight to Class D, three times better than DW 144 Class C, the normal benchmark for `good' performance. Less leakage means no need to specify an over-large air handler / fan - and that means reduced energy costs for life.

Any competent installer can fit LindabSafe and achieve Class D air tightness, but to ensure consistently high levels of competence and service Lindab has established a small network of Recommended Contractors. These Recommended Contractors are authorised by Lindab to self-certify that all the joints have been properly fitted and attach the Class D compliance sticker to each one.
