On Stand no. H30 at the Safety & Health Expo, NEC Birmingham, 9-11 May 2006, DuPont Personal Protection (DPP) is pleased to present a range of exciting, innovative protective products including the new TYCHEM® C2 and TYCHEM® F2 suits, the new TYVEK® Classic Plus green suit and the brand new PROSHIELD® Comfort 60 garment.
TYCHEM® C2 and TYCHEM F2 suits are ideal for use in many industries and applications where people may be exposed to oil, chemicals, biological agents and other hazardous substances. With Type 3 protection (against pressurised liquid chemicals), Type 3B (against infectious agents), Type 4 (against liquid aerosols), Type 5 (against solid airborne chemical particles) and Type 6 (limited protection against liquid spray), the new TYCHEM® C2 and TYCHEM® F2 suits combine lightness, flexibility and durability, thus affording safe and reliable chemical and biological protection in a single garment.
TYVEK® CLASSIC PLUS protective garments, now available in green, are ideal for protection against a host of chemicals and viruses present in every day farming, agricultural and horticultural applications. The new coveralls provide a high level of protection for users, when spraying and handling herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, biocides, fertiliser and other agrochemicals. Available with or without integral socks, TYVEK® CLASSIC PLUS suits afford effective protection from liquid aerosols (Type 4) and chemicals in the form of solid airborne particles (Type 5), as well as limited protection from liquid stains (Type 6).
DuPont Personal Protection offers high performance protective wear in four family brands: TYVEK®, TYCHEM®, NOMEX® and KEVLAR®. TYVEK® and TYCHEM® protective coveralls provide personal protection from hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, biological agents, vapours, liquids, dry particulates and general dirt. NOMEX® brand fibre, used in a multitude of flame retardant garments in a wide range of industries, provides excellent, inherent protection against the effects of heat and flame: Gloves, sleeves and aprons made of KEVLAR® brand fibre offer a range of high performance solutions that provide protection from cut and abrasion.
In addition to the four family brands, The EVAC+(tm) fire rescue hood is a small, lightweight smoke hood that protects the wearer from smoke gases for up to 15 minutes and offers effective protection anywhere that fire might suddenly break out. The hood weighs only 250 grams and is supplied as a compact, can-sized unit in the EVAC+(tm) Pac including protective gloves, mini-torch and trill whistle.
