MAYRISE LOCATES STREET WORKS
Mayrise Systems
15/02/2006
MAYRISE maps street works with address matches MapNow®, the integrated MAYRISE mapping tool, now offers a useful address matching facility for quickly locating street works. Through a link to a council's Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG), street works can be mapped to the nearest address. Gazetteers provide an address location and by setting a street offset to position works on the highway, the system provides accurate coordinates for the works.
Street works notices from utilities and other services rarely provide a truly accurate location. Local authorities are however obliged to map street works and therefore require accurate coordinates. The new MapNow feature provides a quick solution by matching works locations to a known property location.
MapNow is simple, fast and easy to use mapping facility that that links to back office MAYRISE management systems. Displaying Ordnance Survey digital mapping including OS MasterMap, MapNow also allows data transfer to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) so it can be used as part of a corporate mapping solution.
