For professional builders and landscape contractors, the STIHL name represents reliability, quality, service and support. And for 80 years STIHL products have delighted users all over the world. STIHL was founded in 1926 with its introduction of the world's first independently powered chainsaw, and consistent world firsts have firmly established STHIL as the innovative, quality brand it is today. Further additions to the cut-off saw range include new low-priced diamond cutting wheels - for cutting bitumen, fresh and abrasive concrete - all set to enhance the STML reputation for cost-effective quality that is built to last.
Landscape and Groundscare
For landscaping and groundscare works, the STIHL outdoor power tool range includes grass trimmers, brushcutters and clearing saws, plus a complete new range of low vibration professional hedge trimmers launched last autumn. Another catalogue newcomer is the STIHL BR 600 - a powerful and award-winning backpack blower that effortlessly shifts leaves and litter to clear up a site. Further new arrivals in 2006 include new cutting tools for the brushcutter range, and for the versatile STRIL CombiSystem, a new swivel head hedge trimmer and powered bristle brush.

STIHL cleaning systems products include robust wet and dry vacuums with either 230 or 110 volt input for tradesmen on site. A new range of cold water high-pressure washers was introduced last year, and 2006 sees a new professional hot water washer: the STIR. RE 551 PLUS. Meeting the trusted STIHL standards of strength, reliability and durability, this high specification machine tackles the toughest cleaning tasks around workshops and yards, and on vehicles and plant.
