 | | BSS TAKES QUOTATION PROCESS ONLINE | | | BSS Group PLC | | 23/10/2006 | | | BSS, the UK's leading distributor of pipeline and heating products, is using new technology on its website to improve the service it offers to its customers.
BSS has introduced an online Autoquote system to its new website that will improve the quotation process for customer enquiries. The enhanced website now contains a detailed product catalogue which is regularly updated to ensure customers are able to request prices on the latest products available through the BSS network.
Via Autoquote, customers' requests are automatically emailed to the selected BSS branch where staff can begin processing a detailed quote. The system will help reduce communication lead times and eliminate human error from the process, ensuring a faster, more efficient response to customer requests.
Frank Elkins, Managing Director of BSS, said: 'The new website contains many updated features over and above the Autoquote system; the layout has been overhauled to make the site much easier to navigate. There's also much more information available about the Company, its products and specialist brands, keeping our customers up to date with the latest developments. Autoquote represents a major development in our customer service offering and the new look website demonstrates our commitment to continuing these improvements.'
Offered alongside the Autoquote system is an online edition of BSS' popular OneDisk. BrochureStore is a fully searchable electronic compilation of BSS product catalogues, technical data sheets and drawings and diagrams. The online version also includes brochures from more than 50 manufacturers. Originally designed as a CD ROM for the BSS sales team to use with customers, replacing the vast volumes of brochures typically needed, BrochureStore is now available to anyone with an internet connection via www.bssuk.co.uk. Unlike the CD ROM, the online version can be updated as soon as new brochures are released, meaning BrochureStore is now the comprehensive source of up to date pipeline and plumbing solutions product information. | |
