DICKIES LAUNCH NEW WATERPROOF SAFETY HIKER BOOT

Dickies (UK), the country's premier workwear manufacturer, has introduced a new style to its Deluxe safety footwear range - the Thames Super Safety Waterproof Hiker Boot. Over the past few years Dickies has been developing safety footwear with contemporary styling; the Thames Super Safety Waterproof Hiker Boot is the latest addition to this extremely popular safety footwear range.

As with all Dickies Deluxe Safety footwear the Thames Super Safety Waterproof Hiker Boot is designed to provide high levels of protection and comfort at an affordable price. With workers looking for more flexible and lightweight protective footwear, Dickies employs the cemented construction method. This is where specialised adhesives are used in place of stitched welts to bond the upper parts of the shoe with the sole, producing even greater lightness and flexibility.

The Thames Super Safety Waterproof Hiker Boot has an upper made of greasy leather and an extremely sturdy Polyurethane/rubber sole. The Nylon padded collar and padded tongue combine with the full-length padded innersock for exceptional comfort, while a waterproof membrane ensures feet will stay dry no matter how wet the weather is.

The regulation steel toecap conforming to EN345 (200 Joules) provides protection from the impact of 20kg in weight falling on to the toes from a height of 10.2 metres and compression corresponding to approximately 1.5 tonnes resting on the toe area. Additionally, the flexible steel midsole will prevent injuries caused by sharp objects penetrating the sole.
