 | | FLOORS-2-GO SOPPORTS CRAIG PHILLIPS BUILDING SKILL CENTRE | | | Floors-2-Go | | 16/11/2006 | | | Since launching its contract division at the end of last year, Floors-2-Go has been raising its profile within the construction industry and has most recently supported the new Craig Phillips' Building Skills Centre in Liverpool, through sponsorship.
The TV DIY celebrity's new centre was officially opened by Cherie Blair on Friday 13 January, and a number of celebrities attended the event, including Ricky Tomlinson, Syd Little, Dean Gaffney, John Aldridge, Dean Sullivan and Mark Moraghan, to name a few.
Andy Acton, commercial flooring director at Floors-2-Go, comments: 'We launched our contract division four months ago and since then have been raising the profile of our services to house builders, contractors and architects.
'We have worked with Craig Phillips before, and when he approached us to join him in this venture we were keen to get involved, as not only will it will provide us with a growing customer base, but it will also help to improve the skills shortage within the construction industry.'-
Craig's new centre is the largest independent construction-training provider in Merseyside, and Craig and his team will specialise in delivering recognised NVQ qualifications, apprenticeships and work-based learning in brickwork, joinery and plastering. A floor-fitting course will also available at the centre, which again will improve the skill base and lead to Craig having his very own team of qualified floor fitters.
Floors-2-Go is the UK's largest laminate and real wood flooring retailer, with over 140 stores across the country and is able to offer contract customers the choice of hundreds of designs from its newly extended range of real wood and laminate products. | |
