SIKAFLOOR FOR SPORTS RETAILER

Sports equipment retailer Decathlon Sports Warehouse have recently opened smart new premises at the massive Lakeside Shopping Centre at Thurrock, Essex.

The floor in the 4,000 sq m unit is a combination of carpeted browsing areas and walkways surfaced with the universal epoxy resin system, Sikafloor 261. This Sikafloor system produces an attractive, hard wearing surface that has good abrasion and chemical resistance and is easy to clean and maintain. Low viscosity makes application easy and fast and being solvent free, it is also safe and convenient for the contractor to use.

Specialist contractors Datum Industrial Flooring firstly primed the concrete floor slab with Sikafloor 156 epoxy primer, then applied Sikafloor 261 filled with sand to create a high build self smoothing screed that produced a very attractive light grey coloured, perfectly smooth surface. To complete the aesthetics of the floor the final coat of Sikafloor 302W sealed the surface with a matt finish.
