 | | TERCA INVESTS IN THE BEST | | | TERCA | | 04/04/2006 | | | Following a recent investment in its Ewhurst manufacturing plant, Terca has involved over 80 potential customers in the development of its new 2006 range of facing bricks.
The Ewhurst site near Dorking in Surrey, played host to a unique event, which saw brick factors, developers, architects and builders' merchants test 34 of Terca's wide range of clay facing bricks. The direct feedback, recommendations and comments arising from the event will now be used to develop an enhanced product range that is perfectly matched to customers' specific needs.
Andrew Jackson, managing director for Wienerberger Ltd., comments: 'Where possible, we want our customers to be involved throughout our brick development process. Not only does this ensure we can meet individual's specific requirements, but it allows us to continuously innovate and enhance our products. Colours, surface texture, technical requirements and shapes vary from project to project and we are keen to develop our new range that will be second to none.
'The initiative follows our successful introduction of the Ewhurst Red Class B Engineering bricks into the South East market, and highlights our next step towards future product launches at the site.'
The Ewhurst state-of-the-art facility is one of only two extruded brick factories in the South East of England. It has been developed specifically by Wienerberger to meet the growing demand for Terca high quality facing bricks in this region.
The recommendations and positive customer feedback from the event is currently being collated and the new product range will be announced in early summer 2006.
