The new E-touch BOX from TridonicAtco is a stand alone, emergency automatic test system designed to utilise the EM PRO range of DALI Emergency invertors This range of technologically advanced emergency lighting control has been designed to give total control of the testing and reporting functions within an emergency lighting installation. The E-touch BOX is a complete DALI solution in its own right with its own DALI power supply and operating software.
When integrated into a lighting system based on the DALI interface, E-touch BOX provides access to the entire functionality of the DALI system. This includes individual addressability so that detailed information on the emergency luminaires can be monitored. The system is supplied complete with programming software for diagnostics and a scheduler/yearly calendar. As a result, in addition to standard information such as indicating faults on the lamp, control gear or battery, the system can provide information on, for example, the device status, type of lamp and type of emergency unit and battery.
The extensive functionality of EM PRO when combined with E-touch BOX has considerable benefits for facilities management, particularly for the large lighting systems. Even with the self-test function, a visual check is required to determine whether an emergency lighting unit has signalled a fault. With the DALI system, information on the operating status can be displayed centrally together with the precise address. The fault can then be efficiently corrected with considerable savings in terms of time and maintenance costs.
Installation of the E touchBOX couldn't be easier. The unit has been designed to be surface mounted or built into a controls cabinet. As previously mentioned all of the commissioning and operating software has been installed during manufacturer. The E touch BOX has a built in strain relief for connecting the bus and power cables. On screen menus and the flexibility of DALI tied in with TridonicAtco's patented EM PRO addressing tool ensure commissioning time and costs are kept to a minimum.
