ROOF WINDOWS FOR LOW PITCH METAL ROOFS

17 Fakro FTP-V centre pivot roof windows have been used in an unusual office redevelopment in North Wales. The building’s traditional metal cladding roof had only a 15° pitch, and no other manufacturer had a suitable flashing. Contractor Rhidian Snowdon-Jones of Snowdon-Jones Construction Ltd sought Fakro’s recommendation and installed their EZV flashing. Torrential rain shortly after installation proved its suitability.

Rhiydian commented “Such low pitch constructions are a growing market for roof windows. The FSC certified redwood pine’s close grain looks great, installation was straightforward and the handle at the bottom of the frame gives the window a 10% bigger glazing area.”
