 | | SEVERN CONTROLS ACHIEVES MITSUBISHI SOLUTIONS PROVIDER STATUS | | | Severn Controls | | 18/08/2008 | | | Severn Controls, one of the UK’s leading integrated control specialists, has been awarded Mitsubishi Solutions Provider (MSP) status by the Automation Division of Mitsubishi Electric as part of its MELSmart System Integrator Programme.
Commenting for Severn Controls, managing director Paul Bolton says: “This status recognises our extensive design and development work on a number of projects including the ‘Mixed Mode’ system, an air conditioning and natural ventilation solution originally developed by Mitsubishi Electric and Passivent.
“Given our MSP status, we were best placed to further develop the system in partnership with the two companies. This involved streamlining the controls, providing added value and interfacing with other items of plant.”
Explaining the background to MSP status, Mitsubishi Electric’s Engineering and Business Support Group Manager Chris Evans says it is awarded to companies able to provide turnkey solutions and offer strong engineering and added value services.
“Working with Severn Controls on major projects such as the NEC Group and AMRC, they have clearly demonstrated the total integration capability required for MSP status.”
As well as MSP status, Severn Controls has also been a Business Solutions Provider for Mitsubishi Electric’s Air Conditioning Division since 2005.
Sharon Oliver, Marketing Communications Manager at Mitsubishi Electric believes the programme benefits everyone: “We are always seeking to raise standards and expand our relationships with end users and their specifiers. The ‘Business Solutions Partner’ programme helps companies with training to ensure they achieve the highest standards possible when installing and maintaining our equipment.” | |
