MONODRAUGHT HELPS THE BRITISH ARMY KEEP ITS COOL IN BELIZE

Natural ventilation specialist Monodraught has delivered six of its Windcatcher systems to the British Army Training Sub-Unit (BATSUB) in Belize, Central America. They have been installed to provide all the benefits of energy-free natural ventilation for a Project known as Sailfish – a refurbishment of an existing British Army adventure training accommodation facility.

The six Windcatchers were specified in two different sizes to suit both large and small rooms in the building. They were installed by the Royal Engineers team, members of which attended a one-day induction at the Monodraught headquarters in High Wycombe.

Commenting on this unusual Project, Monodraught managing director Professor Terry Payne says the sub-tropical climate in Belize will be a tough test for the Windcatchers but he is confident that they will create a natural and healthy living environment. The fact that they are energy-free and require no maintenance also makes them ideal for this particular installation.
