SANYO Airconditioners Europe (SAE) breaks new ground with the launch of its Big PACi range of high performance commercial split air conditioning systems, which offers powerful heating and cooling in a reduced footprint. Lightweight and compact, the Big PACi is available in two models C706VH8 and C906VH8 8-10 HP (20kW-25kW) providing improved performance and reduced power consumption for large commercial applications.

Capable of offering both heating and cooling down to -15?C, the Big PACi is a flexible and space saving solution to year round comfort, without the need for two separate climate solutions. Ideally suited to large retail applications, the Big PACi’s new lightweight and compact design enables easy installation in any commercial space. The use of newly designed front discharge fans saves valuable footprint and installation space when compared to traditional 20 and 25kW units that use vertical discharge fans.

“The introduction of the Big PACi hails new flexibility for large commercial applications that require powerful performance but don’t want to waste valuable floor space on unit siting. It has a 60% volume reduction, is 57% lighter and takes up 59% less floor space than the previous generation of this product,” explains Graham Wright, Product Manager at SANYO Airconditioners. “The Big PACi’s small footprint, lightweight compact design and longer pipe lengths all add up to easy installation, while a choice of 8 different styles of indoor units provides great flexibility for different applications.”

Featuring SANYO’s DC Inverter technology the Big PACi offers outstanding heating and cooling power which is produced by variable compressor rotation speed. This ensures quicker control of room temperature than conventional air conditioners ensuring both energy efficiency and a comfortable environment. Each unit utilises the latest SANYO twin rotary compressor, in which perfectly balanced dual rotors revolve smoothly and efficiently to provide powerful, quiet and vibration-free performance with sound levels from just 57 dB (A). These factors result in a very adaptable and discreet cooling and heating solution for large commercial applications.

Offering end-users increased flexibility the Big PACi can be matched with a single ducted unit or up to four indoor units of the same type on multi-split systems. There are eight different styles of indoor units now available to be used with the Big PACi including wall mounted, ceiling mounted, cassette and ducted units. New additions to the indoor range of units include the XM Mini Cassette and the ultra slim US ducted unit. All indoor units are high performance and designed with the needs of the installer, as well as the end-user in mind, making installation and maintenance a breeze. Meanwhile, piping length has been increased to 100m, further aiding installation flexibility.

Furthermore when heating or cooling large open plan areas, such as car showrooms, theatres, studios and similar applications, the D range of high static ducted systems provides an ideal solution for flexible concealed air conditioning. The high static pressure (215pa – size 905) makes the use of extended ductwork practicable, which allows the indoor unit to be concealed within a suitable area of the building, while low operating sound levels make it ideal for quiet applications like auditoriums. Featuring air off sensors to avoid cold air dumping and fresh air knockout for improved air quality – the D range ticks all the right boxes for controlled comfort air conditioning in large open spaces.

In addition, on the environmental front, the Big PACi utilises the non-ozone depleting R410A refrigerant which gives increased system performance, improved energy efficiency and better heat transfer, resulting in smaller pipe sizes and more compact indoor units. Meanwhile, the reduced refrigerant charge helps to comply with the F-Gas Regulation.
