 | | NEW FROM ROTOZIP THIS AUTUMN | | | RotoZip | | 17/07/2008 | | | The RZ-3 kit, NEW from September, will contain a 500 watt (110v or 240v) RZ-3 Spiral Saw, a vacuum attachment, five Multipurpose XBITs, one Wall Tile XBIT and one Diamond Floor Tile XBIT – all in a RotoZip Tool Bag.
The enhanced RZ-5 kit, also NEW from September, will contain the 600 watt model with same contents as the RZ-3 kit plus three more high-value attachments - a Jigsaw Handle Attachment, Straight Edge Guide and Circle Cutter, making this model even more versatile.
The latest addition to RotoZip’s XBIT line is the unique patented Diamond Floor Tile XBIT which cuts DRY, with absolutely no need for water.
With a ¼ inch [7.4mm] in cutting diameter the Diamond XBIT contains nearly three carats of diamond grit allowing the tool to cut through a variety of the hardest tiles such as porcelain, granite, marble and stone.
Designed for professionals who prefer free-hand cutting in porcelain and other hard tile materials, the RotoZip Diamond XBIT improves on all previous methods for cutting holes and curves in hard tiles.
Traditional methods of cutting hard floor tiles - such as angle grinders – can be unsafe and can affect the integrity of the tile and cause it to be weakened, resulting in costly tile breakage. The New RotoZip Diamond X-Bit can plunge cut into floor tiles and will cope with any shape, including curves and circles. The RotoZip Diamond XBIT bit does not affect the integrity of the tile and can even cut a hole with a 7mm diameter.
Porcelain tiles account for around 60-70% of all tile sales in the UK, with the ceramic tile market worth £390m (2007) and an estimated forecast of 2-6% growth YOY to 116.5 million square metres in 2012.
These markets provide employment for over 850,000 tilers and small building companies across Europe along with an estimated 8-11,000 tile dealer.
RotoZip is now the tool of choice amongst tiling contractors, kitchen fitters, bathroom fitters, electricians, plumbers, and other building contractors and one-man businesses who do a wide variety of jobs in and around the house.
The RotoZip XBIT range also cuts through Ceramic tiles, laminate, chipboard, MDF, metal, kitchen work surfaces, hard wood, soft wood and drywall / plasterboard. XBITs are contractor rated as having a sufficiently high performance for professional use and are driven by the 600W Bosch motor (500W for the RZ-3) with a cutting speed of 33,000 RPM. RotoZip comes with a two year warranty.
RotoZip’s Spiral Saw system responds to the challenges on every job with the ability to cut 360 degrees without having to change the orientation of the tool. RotoZip is the professional’s solution for faster, cleaner results – a cost effective solution to all tiling needs.
