 | | LIQUID PLASTICS TAKES ITS GREEN ROOFS GLOBAL | | | Liquid Plastics | | 10/07/2008 | | | 10th July 2008 – Liquid Plastics, pioneer of liquid roof waterproofing technology, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the World Green Roof Congress, which takes place in London from 17th-18th September. The company launched its BBA approved green roof systems in 2006 working closely with Livingroofs.org, who is co-partner of the Congress.
“As an environmentally conscious manufacturer we fully support the World Green Roof Congress and all that it aims to achieve,” comments Phil Richardson, Group Marketing Director at Liquid Plastics. “Green roofs have the potential to revolutionise building design, whilst also providing environmental benefits, and we firmly believe that the UK has the opportunity to lead the way forward.”
“From our Winston Way project on a new build school in the South to our work on Chevin Country Hotel’s Log Cabins, we’re seeing an increasing demand for green roofs across the UK,” continues Phil. “London is the perfect location for the World Green Roof Congress and we’re looking forward to being a part of it.”
Liquid Plastics also operates on a global scale with offices in the US, Belgium, and the Middle East, and its green roof projects can be found on several continents. The Middle East team is currently in negotiations to secure a large job in the region, whilst the US contingent has recently completed a prestigious project on a designer retail outlet in New York City, and in Hong Kong work on the Causeway Bay Community Centre’s green roof is underway.
Liquid Plastics’ green roof systems are unique in that the complete system is totally cold applied, eliminating the need for any heat or naked flame on the roof. The waterproof Decothane membrane cures to form a completely seamless barrier, and has also been tested to stringent German standards to prove resistance to penetration by even the most aggressive roots – a distinct advantage in any type of green roof system.
Intensive, Extensive, and Brown roofs are all available. | |
