 | | NOTHING FISHY ABOUT ARVAL’S FACADE | | | Arcelor Construction | | 03/07/2008 | | | Metal cladding panels that can bring a contemporary and distinctive fish-scale design to the facades of new-build and refurbished buildings are now available in the UK through Arval from ArcelorMittal Construction.
The Caiman panels can be fabricated by Arval in steel, aluminium, copper or brass and in any height and width up to 800x1,200mm for pre- or post-painted metal and 800x1,000mm for stainless steel. The former can be either pre-coated with Arval’s Colorissime range or post-painted to a custom RAL colour.
Offset horizontally and vertically, they are suitable for exterior and interior use in industrial and commercial applications in both the public and private sectors.
The panels are pre-drilled on their top edge so they can be attached by self-threading screws to an adjustable sub-frame or support panels, allowing a ventilated sheet of air between the panels and the support wall of thermal insulation.
They can also be installed on a frame covered with aluminium plates or profiled sheet iron and are available with a horizontal wall mounted rail mounted in the factory. Accessories include flashings up to six metres long for crowns, corners and flaps.
Naturally self-cleaning with rainwater, they can also be cleaned with household detergents that are free of chlorine, abrasives or solvents and rinsed with fresh water if vegetation such as moss needs removing. | |
