SPEL Lighting & Fire Detection has just introduced the new Geneva recessed fluorescent and LED luminaire. Manufactured in the UK by SPEL’s parent company, Orbik Electronics, its impressive design is able to address both mains and emergency applications.

The Geneva is manufactured in steel with an epoxy poder coated or plated bezel to create a robust yet unobtrusive and elegant luminaire which is ideal for prestigious retail, hospitality or commercial applications.

To address the requirements of emergency lighting schemes the Geneva incorporates a choice of 8W fluorescent or LED based emergency luminaires. The 8W flourescent lamp based Geneva is able to provide 3-hour emergency operation with non-maintained and maintained versions available. The LED based Geneva comes in a maintained version only and offers the benefit of reduced maintenance and running costs, due to the expected LED life of up to 50,000 hours and lower power consumption. The Geneva can also be specified as a slave luminaire for use on central battery and static inverter systems.

Versions of the Geneva are available to feature an optional exit legend allowing the Geneva to be transformed into a stylish edge-lit exit sign. This achieves impressively uniform light distribution throughout the legend panel and makes it an ideal choice for hotels or conference centres.

To blend with the interior design scheme, this luminaire comes with a white bezel as standard, with the options of brass, chrome or silver grey finishes.
