 | | DECORATIVE STONE HELPS CREATE TRANQUILITY AT THERMAL SPA | | | Long Rake Spar | | 18/06/2008 | | | Long Rake Spar has recently provided a selection of decorative stone for the new Thermal Spa at the award winning Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire. The multi-million pound spa, which includes heat rooms, saunas, hot pools and a candle pool, was devised to be a place of relaxation and serenity. Designers at Ragdale Hall sought to create a natural, organic setting to complement the spa’s features. David Hamdorff, managing director at Ragdale Hall said, “We wanted to promote tranquillity at the spa by using natural material such as stones, pebbles and plants, incorporating streams and waterfalls into the spa’s design.” On specifying Long Rake Spar, David Hamdorff continued, “Our interior designer recommended Long Rake Spar and we were very impressed with the initial consultation. We used artificial rock to help create the rivers and waterfalls and we wanted to enhance these with natural stone. Long Rake Spar took the time to look at the artificial rocks and stone to find a close match with natural stone.”
Long Rake Spar supplied Ragdale Hall with various quantities of Scottish Cobbles, Red Laguna stone, Yorkstone Rockery and White and Green Cobbles, along with Caledonian Boulders and Cobbles. The stone has been used around the waterfalls and rivers, as well as to complement the relaxing candle room. Long Rake Spar is a leading supplier of decorative stone with one of the largest product ranges in the UK. The stone supplied to Ragdale Hall is all naturally sourced to blend perfectly with its surroundings.
With customers enchanted with the new spa, organisers at Ragdale Hall are delighted with the decorative stone. Mr Hamdorff added, “The finished spa is fantastic and the natural stone adds to the overall air of relaxation and luxury. Long Rake Spar was extremely helpful and we were very pleased with the level of support and service we received.” | |
