LG INTRODUCES NEW CASSETTES – SLIMMEST ON THE MARKET AND PRECISE AIRFLOW CONTROL
LG Electronics
18/06/2008
New ceiling-mounted cassettes give independent control of all four vents and with greater energy efficiency.
LG is introducing a new range of cassettes which give the user greater airflow control along with being the slimmest on the market – the units can be easily slotted into just a 184mm ceiling void.
The 7 unit range is ideally suited for use with the LG Universal outdoor range and the vrf Multi V range and each of the LG units gives users precise control of the airflow angle and speed from each of the four vents from a single cassette.
The new units are said to be the first ceiling-mounted cassettes of their kind to allow this level of control over airflow. This feature simply allows the user to improve comfort levels by choosing the direction and speed of airflow from the unit.
Cassette air conditioners use vanes on each vent to control the direction of the air. On these new air conditioners, LG has added its Wide Jet Vane technology, which use vents that are between 76 mm and 80 mm wider than those on conventional air conditioners. This eliminates air conditioning dead zones, helping to maintain an even temperature throughout a room.
The new LG cassette air conditioners have a special high ceiling mode, which adjusts the speed and volume of airflow to compensate for ceiling height. This makes it possible to install them at heights of up to 3.6 metres. The BLDC (brush less DC inverter) fan motor not only gives this enhanced control, but also means the new cassette is also much quieter.
LG’s new cassettes are easy to install and maintain. Their slim and compact size allows them to be installed in shallower ceiling spaces than other cassette air indoor units. Detachable corner pieces make it easy to adjust the hanger bolts that hold the air conditioner in place.
Advanced inverter compressor technology used in the outdoor unit makes these new cassette air conditioners more energy efficient, quieter and more powerful. The compressor uses a BLDC motor that allows it to dynamically change its speed to meet the required output. This ability to run at partial load makes the air conditioners 35 to 65 can percent more efficient than conventional models.
Amongst the host of other features are:-
• Whirlwind airflow
• Anti-corrosion Gold Fin
• High head drain pump
• Easy attach/detachable grille
• Low standby power
• LCD wired/wireless remote controller
• Safety Lock
The new cassettes-as with all other LG Air Conditioning products – are fully supported by one of the industry’s best after-sales technical services.
