 | | REBATED EDGES PROVIDE SUPERIOR INSULATION PERFORMANCE | | | Recticel | | 17/06/2008 | | | Eurothane Silver, the high performance rigid PIR foam insulation board for use in warm flat roofs, and the outstanding product of its class, is available with rebated and tongue-and-groove details to reduce cold bridging and improve air tightness.
As insulation standards rise, the performance of products is becoming increasingly important, as Chris Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at Recticel explains; “Thermal bridging is a problem which betrays insulation and which is becoming increasingly apparent in many new developments. Issues such as thermal bridging and air tightness must be addressed to ensure the building envelope is thermally efficient. As a manufacturer which places quality at the heart of everything we do, we strive to develop products which offer solutions to these problems and which offer superior performance.
“Eurothane Silver can be manufactured in the higher thickness range as a single board. This removes the need for double layering, a technique favoured by similar competing products, but which is costly for the contractor. It is possible to meet the Building Regulations with only 110mm of Eurothane Silver.”
The product performance claims of Recticel Insulation Products are enhanced and confirmed by voluntary Keymarking, ensuring that the product is always of a premium quality.
Suitable for use under all types of single ply membranes, Eurothane Silver can be fixed to most metal decks with just six fixings as opposed to other boards which often require 11. The unique manufacturing process makes for a very stable, strong, and flat board. With a minimum compressive strength (at yield) of 200 kPa and a 280kPa typical performance, Eurothane Silver is probably the strongest board of its type. This contributes to an extremely strong and aesthetically pleasing roof finish under modern thin single ply membranes. | |
