 | | MAJOR EXPANSION FOR KEM EDWARDS | | | Kem Edwards Ltd | | 09/06/2008 | | | Kem Edwards, suppliers of M&E and site supplies, has opened branches in Bristol and Manchester as part of a £2million investment programme that will also see the establishment of new dedicated services supports Prefabrication Facility.
This expansion signals the fastest period of growth for the company since its launch nearly forty years ago and it will retain its Sunbury-on-Thames, London, headquarters. New staffs, including regional Account Managers, have been recruited to help handle increased business levels.
Richard Edwards, Managing Director of Kem Edwards explains the customer benefits created by the expansion; “While we have always provided a national service, having regional branches for our customers and their projects will help them get more from our innovative products and solutions.”
Kem Edwards has built a reputation for innovation and service for all sizes of construction projects and it hopes that these moves will allow it to compete more strongly for the growing number of major regional projects, particular in the South West and North West of England and in Wales.
The dedicated Pre-fabrication facility will allow increased levels of off-site work for customers, helping save time and skills required on-site and also reducing waste. The service was launched last year from Sunbury-on-Thames and has outgrown its current site. By working to a customer’s schedule, Kem Edwards can quickly supply a fully palletised delivery of pre-fabricated support assemblies.
“By providing pre-fabrication in a controlled environment we are helping improve accuracy and this ensures ease-of-use on-site and helps control costs by saving time and skills required. We are seeing a massive increase in the demand for this service,” added Richard Edwards.
Kem Edwards supplies tools, fixings, pipe support and cable management products to projects including T5 Swiss Re HQ, 02 Arena, Wembley Stadium and many more national PFC projects. | |
