International tool company Stanley Bostitch are set to turn up the heat in the construction industry with the launch of their hottest metal connector nailer yet.

The new Strapshot™ nailer looks set to revolutionise the market with its lightweight feel, versatility and ability to tackle difficult jobs making it the the must-have on-site tool for the professional contractor and tradesman. With professional contractors consulted and involved in the design process, the Strapshot™ nailer already has industry approval offering contractors exactly what they want in a tool of this type.

Tim Ramsey, European Marketing Manager for Stanley Bostitch, said: “Metal connectors are to the construction industry what the I-pod is to electronics – they rapidly moved from early adoption to become almost an industry standard.
“Until now installing metal joist hangers and connector straps has been a real challenge because contractors were forced to use makeshift methods to apply them – no dedicated tool was available. Our field research indicates that BOSTITCH now offers exactly what contractors have been asking for.”

Ideal for tight spaces and hard-to-reach areas, the compact Strapshot™ nailer is just over 270mm tall tall to fit easily between joists spaced some 350mm apart. Its in-line magazine fits conveniently into 90° angled corners for added manoeuvrability. Strapshot™ also features a precision trip mechanism for exact placement of the nail into metal connector holes.

Weighing only 227 grams, the Strapshot™ nailer is almost half the weight of its closest single blow competitor. Moreover, many contractors still use makeshift framing nailers for this application, which can weigh as much as one and a half kilos more. The lightweight, compact design of Strapshot™ allows a contractor to navigate around and between obstacles nimbly while performing overhead applications without pause. Also, its over-molded grip helps to maximize comfort and minimize slippage on hot or rainy days.

Strapshot™ nailers accept 38mm length galvanized paper tape collated nails with a shank of 3.75mm in diameter.

Steel wear guards with rubber skid pads protect its housing from daily wear and tear while a tool-free 360° adjustable exhaust directs air out and away from the user. Available in the market now the MCN150 Strapshot™ nailer is expected to sell for £205.96 in the UK market.
