Neaco’s Clearview balconies range is impressing on all counts as part of an extensive specification at Hanover Mill in Newcastle, where Mandale Homes and Napper Architects have transformed a 160-year-old Grade II Listed building within a prestigious quayside development comprising 134 luxury new build and conversion apartments.

Featured across seven floors of Hanover Mill’s stylish new build element, Clearview Juliet and step-out balconies have been praised by both Mandale and Napper. Their practical and aesthetic benefits were highlighted alongside Neaco’s technical support service.

“We used Neaco balconies on a previous Newcastle development at Centralofts and were very pleased with the results,” said Mark Bowman of Napper Architects. “Following the success of that project we didn’t hesitate to take the opportunity to use Neaco again.”

“We appreciate having a single source for all the necessary elements of the balconies, from handrails and balustrade to glass panels and flooring – it is far better to deal with one reliable supplier like Neaco. We also appreciate the Clearview balconies’ maintenance-free qualities – once they’re installed, you know that you won’t have to return to site for any treatment or restorative work. Neaco have again produced precisely what the project required I look forward to using them again for future residential schemes.”

“Because the development involves a Listed Building we required subtle, minimalist looks and Neaco’s balconies are ideal in that respect,” said Rob Cameron-Clarke of Mandale Homes. “Neaco’s service was also impressive – they produced a design solution from our drawings and supplied and fitted it to a high standard.”

Characterized by a predominance of glass for minimalist looks and maximum sunlight penetration, Neaco’s Clearview balconies provide quick and easy installation, contemporary aesthetics and rust-free durability to ensure their polished appearance lasts in the most demanding conditions. Specification options include structural glass, Juliet and step-out designs featuring smoked or clear toughened glass combined with top rails and balustrade manufactured from powder coated aluminium in a choice of finishes. The step-out balconies are also available with stainless steel balustrade.

Hanover Mill represents the conversion element of a £30 million scheme incorporating nearby Forth Banks, a new build development featuring apartments and office units. The Hanover Mill apartments are designed to a high specification and many enjoy views across the River Tyne.
