Climate change and increasingly ‘concreted-over’ gardens and drives has led to a greater need for sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) to help prevent flooding and pollution to the water table.

In response to this and customer demand, Addagrip and the A Proctor Group have jointly developed Addagrip Porous Proctor Pave, a porous and hardwearing pavement using a resin-bound finish.

The Addagrip Porous Proctor Pave system will be available through Addagrip approved installers as a standard option with the Proctor Pave Gravel system.
The Proctor Pave system comprises a filter / weed barrier bonded to a flexible plastic grid which not only provides excellent load bearing properties but also acts as a natural filter to allow rain water through and across the surface. The Addagrip Porous Proctor Pave uses a resin mixed with a choice of aggregates to give a highly decorative, natural finish.

Roger Critchley, managing director of Addagrip commented, “We and the A Proctor Group are very pleased to now be able to offer a decorative porous wearing course.

The Proctor Pave system is extremely strong and so suitable for driveways and car parks and allows water drainage. By installing the special Addastone porous resin with this system, it is possible to combine these properties with an attractive and low-maintenance surface”.
