OBG is enhancing its range of glazed partitioning systems with the latest door technology from GEZE UK. OBG is offering GEZE’s full range of sliding and swinging door hardware as part of a high quality product package for commercial office installations.

Rochdale-based OBG is the North’s leading independent supplier of glazed partitioning systems, glass doors and office blinds. MD Ian Masterson says OBG is now using GEZE’s world-leading products exclusively because they combine the innovation, beauty and functionality that OBG’s design-led client base demands.

He comments, “GEZE UK provides the perfect complement to our frameless glass partitioning and can offer excellent service and support on contract specifications.”

In their first product partnership, OBG recently supplied GEZE’s Geolan – a new floor mounted stainless steel sliding door system – for full height glass doors at Northern Rail’s new office in Bruntwood’s Sq1 building, Manchester. This was the first GEZE Geolan installation in the UK and Ian Masterson expects Geolan to be a particularly popular option, especially for larger, heavier glass doors where wall or ceiling mounted systems are not possible. He says, “With Geolan, the weight of the doors is carried on a rail on the floor rather than from the ceiling or panel and means it can take door leaf weights up to 135kg.” The floor-mounted design also makes installation quicker and easier, while Geolan’s minimalist framework creates slim sightlines and provides maximum light. In addition, the system’s high quality plastic roller bearings ensure extremely quiet running and easy operation.

GEZE UK is equally delighted to be chosen as OBG’s exclusive supply partner for its frameless glazing systems, which are one of the fastest growing sectors in office installations. Jules Quested-Williams, Sales and Marketing Director of GEZE UK says, “We’ve got a winning combination and see great potential in working with OBG to provide innovative solutions for many more prestigious projects like Sq1.”
