 | | GPC TAKES ALTREX DISTRIBUTION TO NEW HEIGHTS | | | GPC Industries | | 21/04/2008 | | | GPC Industries has become the UK distributor for Netherlands-based Altrex BV, manufacturers of access towers, modular suspended platform systems and ladders.
The introduction of Altrex’s innovative, quality products enhances GPC’s range of high-quality, and safety-focused working-at-height equipment.
A recent addition to Altrex’s range is their Modular Triangle Bridge (MTB) system. The MTB has been designed with safety working at height in mind and is making a big impression with house builders, hire companies, roofing contractors, window/gutters, facials/sophics suppliers to name a few.
The system has been equipped with uniquely shaped trusses, available in lengths of 2, 3 and and 4 metre designs with a free span of 12.5metres. The MTB is easy to erect (only 12 minutes), simple to use in complete safety, and has multiple uses including: Individual with separate vertical support stands, between rolling towers or between façade scaffolds, making it the ideal choice for painting, plumbing and facade renovation companies.
The MTB has been developed to obtain ergonomic advantages. With its flexible adaptation of the platform height of 3-5metres, the MTB can be assembled on floor level and brought to work at height easily by a hand winch. The lightweight, maintenance-free aluminium system has a total weight including the winch of less than 24kg. Trusses are stackable through their unique V-shape, giving easy storage and transportation.
The flexibility of the MTB, combined with several scaffold systems, offers a walk-through application bridge between two or more aluminum access towers, or in combination with an aluminium façade scaffold.
To combat most weather conditions, a specially developed shelter system is available, allowing work to be continued in poor weather. The shelter system is easily assembled and can be placed at any position on the Triangle Bridge.
