This range of fibre cement cladding offers a hard wearing and fire resistant alternative to timber cladding with all the aesthetic appeal of real wood. Cemwood is a long-lasting replacement to worn out timber planks or artificial looking plastic cladding.
Cemwood is ideal for installation on small or large residential and commercial projects from barn conversions to coastal chalets. “Cemwood is the ideal solution for specifiers looking for hard wearing cladding that has all the appearance of timber” says Ged Ferris, Marketing Manager at Cembrit Blunn. “Made from fibre cement, this durable exterior board can withstand the elements for years to come. Plus it doesn’t rot so requires no preservatives or treatments as timber does, and is resistant to heat distortion so can be supplied in dark colours.”
Cemwood has a textured appearance and can be supplied in grey for on-site painting or staining, or it can be supplied pre coloured to further save on site construction time. Pre-coloured boards are available in a wide choice (any RAL colour) with most shades guaranteed for colour stability. Cemwood has two main advantages over most plastic claddings; it is not restricted to just whites and pale shades and it boasts a Class 0 fire rating.
Cemwood is unaffected by heat or sunlight, is rot-resistant, insect-resistant and fire-resistant equalling low life cycle costs and maintenance. The appeal of Cemwood for the architect, contractor and builder is its ease of installation: the boards have no knots, twists or uneven thickness so the installer need only measure, cut and fix into place.
