 | | WOLSELEY SUPPLIES PRISON SERVICE |  | | Wolseley | | 28/12/2007 | | | Wolseley, the UK’s largest distributor of plumbing and heating products and a major supplier of building materials, has secured a national contract to supply HM Prison Service with hardware products.
The contract, Wolseley’s first with HM Prison Service (HMPS), was secured through an e-auction tendering process. Products to be supplied under the contract include include, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), fixings and ironmongery, some of it from Wolseley’s own Center brand.
The contract will mainly involve Wolseley’s Build Center chain and its Unifix direct supply business. Routine ordering will be handled by HMPS’ technical support units, which act as regional purchasing hubs.
Sean Collins, Wolseley’s sector director said: “This contract further extends out relationship with HMPS, which manages more than 139 prisons and other establishments in England and Wales.” |  |
