 | | ANDREWS OFFER CUSTOMER TRAINING AT THE NEW BAXI COMMERCIAL HEATING TRAINING ACADEMY | | | Andrews Water Heaters | | 07/12/2007 | | | Since Andrews Water Heaters has moved its back office operations into Baxi Group premises at Erdington, West Midlands where Potterton Commercial is located, the training requirements of both brands can now be served from one centre. The Baxi Commercial Heating Training Academy is a specially created state-of-the-art training facility that is believed to be the first of its kind in the commercial heating and hot water sector.
This ‘knowledge hub’, will prove invaluable to consultants, contractors/installers and merchants who may specify, install or supply products from either brand. Traditionally, this would have been for unrelated projects but, increasingly, customers are seeking totally integrated boiler house solutions, particularly where renewable and sustainable technologies are involved. Larger end user organisations will also be encouraged to utilise the facility as well as heating engineers who have the relevant gas training to attend appliance service courses.
Officially opened on 12th September 2007 by Her Majesty’s Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands, the Baxi Commercial Heating Training Academy enables customers of both brands not only to find out about integrated solutions but also to enjoy the benefits of combined training as well. It boasts a spacious purpose
designed facility fitted out with all the current Andrews and Potterton Commercial products. All the appliances are live enabling training to be delivered on products, installations, commissioning, services and fault finding.
These include Andrews floor-standing and wall-hung direct fired water heaters, ranging from the non-condensing storage water heater models and the compact high-output continuous flow appliances, to the latest condensing storage water heaters – the traditional style ECOflo and the revolutionary Queens award winning MAXXflo stainless steel, multiple burner option. In addition, SOLARflo panels affixed to the exterior of the building can be linked via an indirect cylinder or the Maxx flo, for practical demonstration purposes.
A separate theory room is provided for course work, fully equipped with up-to-the-minute presentation and communication equipment. As well as the academic aspects of product and industry training, the room will be used for CPD courses. A programme of training courses and CPD presentations for the remainder of 2007, as well as for 2008, is now available | |
