 | | DALBY IS KEEPING A LOW PROFILE IN AN EMERGENCY | | | Orbik Electronics | | 09/11/2007 | | | The Dalby low profile emergency luminaire from SPEL has been developed to provide an aesthetically pleasing and extremely versatile fitting, which will blend in with most prestigious lighting schemes.
In order to conform to the requirements set out in the emergency lighting product standards for use on defined escape routes, this high specification luminaire has been manufactured from flame-retardant Polycarbonate.
Elegantly designed, this IP55 rated luminaire is so versatile that it can be either surface mounted or semi-recessed to suit the demands of the installation. When recessed, the fitting only protrudes below the ceiling level by 25mm to maintain the clean lines which are so popular with interior designers and architects.
This luminaire also offers the option of a drop-down sign, allowing the use of a screen printed emergency exit legend panel. These attractive signs are able to maximise visual clarity, so they can be clearly seen from a viewing distance of up to 34 metres and can be confidently specified for prestigious projects including Hotels and office Reception areas.
The Dalby has been designed so that it is easy to install, and it incorporates a BESA box mounting, as well as other optional mounting points and knock outs. Also, to enable the contractor to easily identify the size of the required cut-out for recessed applications, dimensional cut-out markings have been moulded into the polycarbonate base.
To suit the specific requirements of individual applications, this self-contained emergency luminaire can also be supplied for use on centrally supplied systems 24, 50, 110 or 230 Volts AC/DC systems, with additional options, for intelligent self-test or fully addressable emergency lighting systems or with a manually operated push to test switch.
