Cumbria based electricians Richard Rose Electrical (Communications) has taken possession of a new Mercedes-Benz fleet to help businesses and homes across the UK remain safe from faulty electrics.

After receiving advice from Mercedes-Benz dealership Ciceley Commercials, the industrial and domestic electrical specialist has purchased three Sprinters and a new Vito. All of these vehicles have been financed on a Mercedes-Benz CharterWay Contract Purchase agreement.

The new fleet will help the 20 plus electricians and their support teams manage business from around the UK, including work for clients Vodafone, Orange, Thermal Transfer, National Trust and the Forestry Commission.

The company’s director Richard Rose said government statistics showed faulty electrical installations in the home caused five deaths and over 500 injuries annually. Additionally, 12,500 fires are caused by electrical faults, resulting in 25 deaths and 590 injuries every year.

“These startling statistics stress the importance of employing an NICEIC Approved contractor whether you require assistance with a major industrial installation, you need advice on a new property or you’re concerned about the safety of old appliances,” Mr Rose said.

Richard Rose Electrical brings 28 years’ experience and the qualifications necessary to give clients around the UK peace of mind.

And, with regular contracts in Ireland to the Isle of Wight, Newmarket to Salisbury, management believed a reliable fleet was imperative to provide customers with an immediate response to their electrical concerns.

“We chose the Sprinters because of our own experience of the model and their reputation for reliability,” Mr Rose said. “Our experience with Ciceley and Mercedes-Benz CharterWay has been excellent. All staff have been very responsive to our requests and with their advice we were able to determine that the contract purchase was the best option for our business.”

Under a Mercedes-Benz CharterWay contract purchase agreement, the client is offered low monthly repayments by agreeing on a guaranteed future value (GFV) at the end of the contract’s term. At the end of the term the client then has the choice of paying off the sum and keeping the vehicle (particularly attractive if the vehicles’ value is above the GFV), extending the agreement, or returning the vehicle.
