 | | NEW PIPING SYSTEM FROM POLYPIPE TERRAIN WILL KEEP THE NOISE DOWN | | | Polypipe Commercial Building Systems | | 05/11/2007 | | | The new range of Terrain Acoustic dB12 soil and waste system products from Polypipe Terrain provides a simple, quick and cost-effective solution to the problem of noise transmission along pipes within buildings. The range of acoustically insulated pipes and fittings surpasses the sound performance required by Part E of the Building Regulations by a substantial margin and creates a complete drainage system that can be used on many different types of application.
The intrusive sound of wastewater passing along pipework can cause serious problems in such multi-occupancy buildings as hotels, apartments, hospitals, schools and offices. The new Terrain Acoustic dB12 range now solves this problem and also eliminates the additional material and labour costs often associated with traditional on-site remedies.
The Terrain Acoustic dB12 products feature a highly durable, triple-layer polypropylene composition that provides a substantial level of reliable soundproofing. Available in 40mm, 50mm, 110mm and 160mm diameter options the range includes a comprehensive variety of lightweight and easily handled products including fire collars, brackets, single and double branches, spigot bends, slip couplers and diameter reducers.

The launch of this product reflects the increasing progress being made by Polypipe Terrain since the acquisition of the Terrain Drainage business in July 2007.
