Watkins Hire KwikDRY range is the quick and easy way to get the job done. The mobile units set new standards for user-friendliness and offer a light yet robust design, making them the obvious choice for the building industry and damage service companies.

High-performance dehumidification is essential in houses that have fallen victim to damage caused by floods, fires etc. The same applies to constructions where an effective means of drying out brick or concrete walls can successfully speed up the building process.Characteristic of both scenarios is the need for dehumidifiers that are not only powerful but also mobile. The KwikDRY range easily fulfils both requirements operating on 110v or 240v.

User-friendly design
The KwikDRY units have been designed with the user in mind. Handling and transport have been significantly facilitated by fitting the KwikDRY with an adjustable handle on the top back as well as a smaller, fixed handle at the bottom front. Features that need regular maintenance have been placed on the front of the unit. This includes the water container and the removable grid, allowing easy access during service. The water container features three handles, one to the front and one on either side, which ensure safe emptying of it. To further increase operating convenience the display is placed on top of the unit.

High-performance operations
The KwikDRY range offers capacities ranging from 250 to 1000 m3/h, making the mobile units every bit as powerful as most of their stationary counterparts. The high-performance operations ensure quick and reliable results – and minimize the long-term damage caused, for example, by flooding.

Easy and safe transport
Fitted with big rubber wheels, the KwikDRY units are easily moved from one room to the next, up and down stairs and across seemingly impassable areas. To make the units as narrow as possible – and thus more manoeuvrable – the major part of the wheels are hidden behind the front of the unit. Still, the rubber wheels are the outermost part of the unit, protecting doors and panels from unnecessary knocks. During transport from one job to the next or in between jobs the KwikDRY units can be stacked, taking up only limited space.

How the KwikDRY works
An integral fan draws humid air into the dehumidifier through a filter. Here the air passes through an evaporator, where the water vapour condenses on a cold surface and falls into the water container. The cooled air then passes through a condenser and picks up not only the heat equivalent of the previous cooling, but also the heat equivalent of the electrical input to the unit. Consequently, the air leaves the unit drier and several degrees warmer. The repeated circulation of air through the unit reduces the relative humidity, giving very rapid but gentle drying.
