 | | SERVICE PIPE ENTRY - MAINTAINING INTEGRITY | | | Cavity Trays Limited | | 11/12/2006 | | | Whenever a service pipe enters within the footprint of a structure, the integrity of the protective oversite membrane is challenged. To ensure damp prevention and gas barrier qualities are maintained where this perforation occurs, there are now three Preformed Service Pipe Entry Seals.
When fitted and sealed in accordance with instructions, Service Pipe Entry Seals ensure membrane integrity is not compromised so protection against damp and specified gases such as radon and methane is continuous.
Service Pipe Entry Seals are manufactured by Cavity Trays of Yeovil and are available to suit entry pipes of approximately 55mm, 110mm and 130mm. Moulded from black/grey pethylene/polyethylene the seals are available with compatible bonding tape and jubilee clip.
Seals may be used with a variety of membrane styles and are particularly recommended for use with Type N Sitesealer Membrane and Radon / Methane Cavity Integrity Barriers manufactured by Cavity Trays. Use of all three products permits a continuous integrity shield to be established across the oversite and cavity walls of a property, thus satisfying regulation requirements and codes of practice appertaining to the protection of a structure and it€™s inhabitants. | |
