Aggregate Industries has re-focused its Building Materials Division into two distinct business groups: Domestic Products and Commercial Products. The new structure will provide an even stronger market focus and increased flexibility to respond rapidly to changing customer requirements. In addition, the new Building Materials Division will provide an opportunity to maximise production and development synergies across the Aggregate Industries group.

Neil Richardson, previously Divisional Director for Charcon is appointed Divisional Director for Domestic Products and Chris Hudson, formerly Divisional Director for Masterblock, becomes Divisional Director for Commercial Products.

Supporting Neil and Chris will be a new Director of Marketing and Strategy, Mark Allen. Mark is moving to the Division from his current role in the Group's strategy department. His responsibilities will include pro-actively analysing all key markets, identifying new opportunities and brand strategies, driving growth and supporting new product development.

Additionally under the new structure, manufacturing and distribution will be managed as a separate function across both of the newly created groups. Pat Hastings, formerly Bradstone manufacturing manager becomes Director of Production and Distribution, and will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the Division's manufacturing operations are producing the correct quality, range and volume of products to suit customer requirements.

Philip Barltrop, will continue as Finance Director with overall functional responsibility for finance and accounting for the Building Materials Division.

Ralph Cunningham, Chief Operating Officer of Aggregate Industries Building Materials Division, said: 'I firmly believe the revised structure will strengthen still further the Building Materials Division and will provide a solid platform to enable sustainable business growth both for our customers and our leading business brands. Our main aim going forward is to provide the most responsive and flexible service possible for our customers.'
