 | | HRM BOILERS - KING OF THE CASTLE
| | | HRM Boilers Ltd | | 16/10/2006 | | | HRM Boilers has won a prestigious contract at Bovey Castle in Devon, the latest luxury resort and club created by high profile businessman, Peter de Savary. The original 1906 mansion has been beautifully restored and twenty two individual Lodges have been built in the grounds and fitted out to the highest possible specification.
The Lodges are for guests who want seclusion and peace. Each Lodge is served by an ultra compact Wallstar model 20/25 through the wall oil fired boiler. They take up no floor space, are quiet in operation, odourless and can be routinely serviced without any need to enter the building, huge benefits given the discreet nature of the application. The oil storage for the boilers in the various Lodges is in one large tank which is sunk in the ground totally out of sight.
The Wallstar appliances are fully compliant with the new Building Regulations (Part L) and deliver 91%+ net efficiency. The secret to their quiet and odourless operation is that the heat exchanger is mounted on the inside of an external wall while the combustion equipment itself (burner, pump and flue) is sealed in the wall. The 20/25 model of the Wallstar range delivers up to 85,000 Btu/hr and is just 750mm high, 460mm wide and 350mm depth within the wall.
Bovey Castle was built for Viscount Hambledon and is set within the 368 square miles of Dartmoor National Park. It has 65 bedrooms, a golf course, swimming pools and all the other amenities associated with a top country house hotel complex, including 24 miles of fishing on the river Teign. The grounds in which the Lodges are set are spectacular. Throughout the estate, ornamental garden features, follies and pavilions have been carefully restored, and the plants and shrubs reinstated to include many of the original species from Victorian times.
